A sensitive soul with wisdom beyond his years, Sebastian Son is an LA-based, indie-folk acoustic singer-songwriter whose songs deal with heartbreak, loss, and a search for purpose.
A singer-songwriter from Fort Lee, New Jersey, Sebastian Son never imagined being a musician. But as he grew older, his dream of being a novelist was slowly overtaken with his insistent banging out of Billy Joel songs on the piano. Fast forward to 2020, and Son decided to take a gap year from college to develop two ambitious projects: an original musical, and an original album.
His original musical, Reasons to Leave, had its premiere in Buckley Hall (Amherst College), and has been called "a sensational senior thesis", winning grant funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council in 2021.
His original album, A Summer in Quarantine, was released from his college dorm room on the night of his commencement, and quickly amassed over 100 monthly listeners on Spotify in its first few weeks.
As a sensitive soul with wisdom beyond his years, Son's songs resonate with youthful longing for distance, desire, and respect - blending pop, folk, and rock into a vessel for his immersive storytelling.
